Posting from Promoat goes through getlate.dev, a publishing proxy. You connect each platform once via the platform's own OAuth screen — Promoat never touches your password — and afterwards every scheduled post fires through getlate without re-authorization. This article walks the actual screen.
1. When you see this screen
The Connect Accounts screen appears in three contexts:
End of activation. After signup, the last activation step is connecting accounts. The progress bar at the top is full — this is the last gate before "All set".
From Profile → Connected Accounts. To add or reconnect platforms after activation. Same screen, with the progress bar hidden because you're not in onboarding anymore.
From a scheduling action. If you tap Schedule on a video before connecting any platform, the app routes you here first; on success it returns you to the schedule sheet.
2. The plan gate
Posting requires an active subscription. On free or trial accounts the screen replaces the platform list with a lock card.

3. Initial state — zero connected
With an active plan, the screen lists the four supported platforms. The CTA is locked until you connect at least one.

The four platforms
These are the only platforms this screen exposes — and the only ones Promoat publishes to:
HEADS-UP
No Twitter/X, Threads, or Snapchat
The publishing backend supports more platforms (the proxy lists Twitter, Threads, Snapchat as beta), but the mobile UI ships only the four listed above. Posting elsewhere requires saving the video to your camera roll and posting manually.

Below the rows: "Add more later in Profile → Connected Accounts." Hidden when you're already coming from Profile. It's the breadcrumb for finding this screen again.
Bottom CTA
"Connect at least one account" — disabled until at least one row flips to Connected. A "Skip for now" link sits below it as a tertiary action; in activation it advances to All set without auto-posting enabled.
4. Connecting a platform
Tap the outlined Connect button on any row. A platform-specific OAuth flow opens in an in-app browser. Log in, review the requested scopes, tap Authorize. The browser closes automatically and the row updates to Connected with the connected handle (@username) underneath the platform name.

While the OAuth is open
The row shows a spinner instead of the Connect button until the OAuth callback returns. If the user cancels mid-flow, the row reverts to its idle state — no error message.
TIP
One account per platform
Promoat stores a single connection per platform per user. If you already connected Instagram and want to switch accounts, tap Connect again — the new OAuth replaces the old token automatically.
Platform-specific quirks
Instagram Reels. Requires an Instagram Professional account (Creator or Business). Personal accounts can't authorize publishing apps. If your account is personal, switch it in the Instagram app first.
TikTok. The OAuth includes a privacy-level consent — most users land on Public; you can change this per-post when you schedule.
YouTube Shorts. Vertical videos under 60 seconds publish as Shorts automatically; Promoat doesn't expose a regular-YouTube publish path.
LinkedIn. Posts to your personal feed. Company-page posting is not currently exposed.
5. The bottom CTA changes by context
The button at the bottom reads different things depending on how you got here:
From activation: "Start creating" → marks setup complete and routes to All set.
From Profile: "Done" → just goes back to Profile.
From schedule: "Return to schedule" → re-opens the scheduling sheet for the video that prompted this detour.
6. Disconnecting and re-connecting
This screen doesn't expose a Disconnect action — it only adds and re-authorizes. To remove a platform's permission, revoke the OAuth from the platform itself (TikTok → Settings → App permissions; Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites; etc.). Once revoked, Promoat detects the dead token on next use and sends you back here in Reconnect mode.
HEADS-UP
Cancelling your subscription disconnects everything
If your active subscription lapses, Promoat's webhook automatically disconnects your getlate accounts and deletes your publishing profile. Re-subscribing creates a fresh profile — you re-connect each platform from scratch.
Open Connect Accounts (activation, Profile, or via Schedule)
If you see the lock card, tap See plans and subscribe first
Tap Connect on the platform you want to link
Authorize in the platform's own browser screen
Wait for the row to flip to Connected with your @username
Repeat for any other platforms — at least one is required
Tap the bottom CTA (label varies by entry point)
